Lisa Frankenstein is a horror/comedy film written by Diablo Cody(Juno, Jennifer’s Body) and directed by Zelda Williams(Kappa Kappa Die). Although Williams has directed before, this will be her feature-length film debut. The film stars Kathryn Newton(Freaky, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania), Cole Sprouse(Riverdale), Carla Gugino(Gerald’s Game, The Watchmen), and Liza Soberano.
The plot sounds interesting enough and is a interesting and humorous take on the classic Frankenstein story.
“In 1989, an unpopular high school girl named Lisa Swallows (Kathryn Newton) accidentally re-animates a handsome Victorian corpse (Cole Sprouse) during a lightning storm and starts to rebuild him into the man of her dreams by using the broken tanning bed in her garage”.
