From The Press Release

Today, Helter Skelter Productions (distributed & marketed by Regain Records) announces December 24th as the international release date for Electric Voodoo of the Black Dawn, a collection of Itay’s Demonio‘s recordings to date, on CD and cassette tape formats.

An uprising force on the stoner doom scene, Italy’s Demonio is a power-trio in the grand tradition of classic Electric Wizard. Fittingly, their sound is just as scuzzy and desperate as that band’s pioneering works in the ’90s. But by virtue of geography, Demonio have more than a touch of the Giallo as set forth by domestic icons Goblin, Death SS, and Black Hole before them. Demonio may be strictly within the stoner doom idiom (or at least offer a more garage-rockin’ iteration of such), but that doesn’t mean they don’t exude their own aura – and loudly/darkly.

To date, Demonio have released an album in 2021 – Electric Voodoo, so far only available digitally – and the three-song Black Dawn EP earlier this year, also only digitally. Criminal to say the least, Helter Skelter felt duty-bound to release these tomes of Satanic panic in one package, hereby titled Electric Voodoo of the Black Dawn, on both CD and tape formats. Totaling 54 minutes, the collection is the first time these two records will be available in physical format. Whether it’s your first time injecting their black drugs or you’re already a heavy user, Electric Voodoo of the Black Dawn is a perfect blackout (re)introduction to Demonio‘s charms.

Fully blackout HERE, where both formats can also be preordered.

About Michael Juvinall (6693 Articles)
I am a devoted husband and father. I have been a voracious horror fan since the early age of 5 and metal fan since I was 14. I watch all horror films but my great loves are classic horror films: Universal Monsters, Werewolves, Hammer Horror and an all-around affinity for things that go bump in the night! I'm also a huge fan of extreme metal music.
