[Los Angeles, CA] As families enjoy the summer vacation, Shudder introduces two thrillers in the “creepy-kid” subgenre – the home-invasion revenge thriller MOTHERLY and the psychological, mind games twister MARIONETTE. Both titles from The Horror Collective will be available on Shudder starting August 9.

MOTHERLY explores how far a single mother will go to protect her daughter from a vengeful couple who believe she is responsible for the death of their child.

Directed by Craig David Wallace who co-wrote with Ian Malone (Todd and the Book of Pure Evil). Starring Lora Burke, Kristen MacCulloch and Tessa Kozma. Produced by Avi Federgreen, Laura Tremblay, Federgreen Entertainment and Raven Banner.

MARIONETTE follows a therapist who loses her grip on reality when a ten-year-old boy claims he can control her future. Directed by Elbert van Strien who co-wrote the script with Ben Hopkins. Starring Thekla Reuten (Red Sparrow), Elijah Wolf and Emun Elliott (Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens). Marionette was released by Scatena & Rosner Films and produced by Burny Bos, Claudia Brandt and Elbert van Strien.

The Horror Collective is the genre label of Entertainment Squad — a production and distribution company founded by veteran producer Shaked Berenson (TURBO KIDTALES OF HALLOWEEN).

The Horror Collective’s latest productions include the killer-pants cult classic SLAXX (Shudder Original) and the critically acclaimed action-horror-comedy BLOODY HELL. Both titles are currently available on Shudder.

About Michael Juvinall (6469 Articles)
I am a devoted husband and father. I have been a voracious horror fan since the early age of 5 and metal fan since I was 14. I watch all horror films but my great loves are classic horror films: Universal Monsters, Werewolves, Hammer Horror and an all-around affinity for things that go bump in the night! I'm also a huge fan of extreme metal music.
