Godzilla TV Series Coming to Apple TV+!

This might be some great news for kaiju fans as a live-action Godzilla spinoff TV series has been announced for Apple TV+. The as-yet-untitled series is set in the same Monsterverse as the recent big-budget films Godzilla 2014, Kong: Skull Island, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, and Godzilla vs. Kong.

The show is being produced by Legendary Television and co-creators Chris Black, the sci-fi veteran behind Star Trek Enterprise and Robert Kirkman series Outcast & Hawkeye writer Matt Fraction. Safehouse Pictures’ Joby Harold and Tory Tunnell and Toho Co. Ltd will also executive produce. Black will also serve as showrunner.

The synopsis is as follows, “Following the thunderous battle between Godzilla and the Titans that leveled San Francisco and the shocking new reality that monsters are real, the series explores one family’s journey to uncover its buried secrets and a legacy linking them to the secret organization known as Monarch.”

Being the huge Godzilla fans that we are here, this will be a highly anticipated series, lets just hope they don’t screw it up. We’ll see.

More news on this as it comes in.

About Michael Juvinall (5958 Articles)
I am a devoted husband and father. I have been a voracious horror fan since the early age of 5 and metal fan since I was 14. I watch all horror films but my great loves are classic horror films: Universal Monsters, Werewolves, Hammer Horror and an all-around affinity for things that go bump in the night! I'm also a huge fan of extreme metal music.
