R.I.P. Actress Tawny Kitaen – Witchboard & Whitesnake Video Godess Dies at 59!

Super sad news to report on this Saturday morning. It’s being reported that 80s actress and music video goddess Tawny Kitaen has died. She died in Newport Beach, CA. on Friday, May 7th. No cause of death has been disclosed. She was 59.

The beautiful redhead was known for her sexy roles in film, TV, and music videos.

She got her big break in 1984’s Bachelor Party when she appeared beside Tom Hanks.

She went on to appear in The Perils of Gwendoline 1984, Witchboard 1986, Dead Tides 1996, After Midnight 2014, and a few more.

She had many TV appearances in shows such as Santa Barbara 1989, Booker 1989, Seinfeld 1991, The New WKRP in Cincinnati 1991, Married… with Children 1994, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys 1994, Moms Anonymous 2017, and more.

She probably gained the most fame from appearing in several music videos for heavy metal bands like Ratt and Whitesnake. She was the gorgeous vixen doing sexy acrobatic moves on the hood of a car in Whitesnake’s famous “Here I Go Again” music video. She was briefly married to Whitesnake’s lead singer, David Coverdale, from 1989 to 1991.

Tawny was also married to baseball player Chuck Finley from 1997 to 2002. They had two daughters together.

Sadly, her life had its ups and downs because she got into the fast life at an early age. She had a known struggle with substance abuse over the years.

Although she is gone at far too young of age, she left an indelible mark on those of us who grew up on 80s heavy metal videos and horror films. She will be missed.

Rest In Peace Tawny Kitaen

I am a devoted husband and father. I have been a voracious horror fan since the early age of 5 and metal fan since I was 14. I watch all horror films but my great loves are classic horror films: Universal Monsters, Werewolves, Hammer Horror and an all-around affinity for things that go bump in the night! I'm also a huge fan of extreme metal music.
