Exclusive Interview with Barbara Crampton as She Talks Being a Vampire in JAKOB’S WIFE!
Interviewed by Michael Juvinall – Horror Patch 4/09/2021
JAKOB’S WIFE is in select theaters, on demand and digital April 16th
Genre film icon Barbara Crampton has a new, really fun horror film out today, April 16th – JAKOB’S WIFE! The film is a wonderful vampire horror movie starring herself, Larry Fessenden, Nyisha Bell, Mark Kelly, Sarah Lind, Robert Rusler, Bonnie Aarons, Phil Brooks. This campy, new take on the vampire subgenre is co-written and directed by Travis Stevens (Girl On The Third Floor).
In the film, Anne is married to a small-town minister and feels like her life and marriage have been shrinking over the past 30 years. After a chance encounter with “The Master,” she discovers a new sense of power and an appetite to live bigger and bolder than before. As Anne is increasingly torn between her enticing new existence and her life before, the body count grows and Jakob realizes he will have to fight for the wife he took for granted.
As I tell Barbara in our interview, Jakob’s Wife is one of the most fun roles I’ve seen her in since her early days in Re-Animator and From Beyond.
I believe this is the fourth time I have interviewed Barbara and she is one of my favorite celebrities to speak with. She is always inviting, kind, and so down-to-earth to speak with.
So, pull up a La-Z-Boy and watch this brief 12-minute talk I have with the beautiful and legendary Barbara Crampton below!
