Exclusive Video Q&A with Horror Legend and Sacrifice Star Barbara Crampton!
Interviewed by Michael Juvinall – Horror Patch
Barbara Crampton is a name that fans of the horror genre are pretty familiar with – and with good reason. She has starred in several cult and classic films such as Re-Animator (1985), Chopping Mall (1986), From Beyond (1986), Pulse Pounders (1988), Robot Wars (1993), Castle Freak (1995), Space Truckers (1996), and others.
Let’s not forget she was a soap opera star beginning in 1983 with prominent roles on Days Of Our Lives, Guiding Light, The Bold and the Beautiful, and The Young and the Restless.
Barbara had a career resurgence in 2011 with a starring role in You’re Next, The Lords Of Salem (2012), We Are Still Here (2015), Tales Of Halloween (2015), Beyond The Gates (2016), Death House (2017), Dead Night (2017), Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich (2018), Reborn (2018), Stay Out Stay Alive (2019), Deathcember (2019), Run Hide Fight (2020).
Her career has reached legendary status and she shows no signs of letting up in the near future. She is a power player in the genre adding producing to her repertoire on top of acting. Barbara acts as a loving ambassador to the genre that made her famous. She isn’t embarrassed by her many roles, she doesn’t talk down about the genre she obviously loves so much. I can’t think of a better champion to represent everything that’s good about our genre.
In her upcoming new film SACRIFICE, she portrays a small-town constable and cult leader in the H.P. Lovecraft inspired horror movie. The film is not based on any of his works in particular but it certainly has that vibe along with The Wicker Man too.
I had the sincere pleasure of video chatting with Barbara to talk about her new film. Enjoy our brief talk below to find out more about her involvement in SACRIFICE.
