Exclusive Video Interview With Modern Metal Mistress Molly Rennick of LIVING DEAD GIRL!
Interviewed by Michael Juvinall – Horror Patch (January 13, 2021)
LIVING DEAD GIRL is an up and coming Canadian heavy metal band. The band is a quartet formed and fronted by the lovely Molly Rennick. The band has been around since 2017 and has released a handful of singles. They have not released an album yet, but that’s going to change this year. LDG is getting ready to release their debut album entitled, Exorcism, which is set to be independently released this June.
LDG the band has an array of different sounds. They’re metal for sure, but with influences from Marilyn Manson to Avril Lavigne along with different genres including pop, punk, goth, pop, industrial, and good old rock and roll. Rennick’s singing style is modern as well. She has quite a vocal range and goes from clean singing to bestial screams and guttural growls on the turn of a dime.
Rennick is a renaissance woman at the young age of 21. Not only does she front Living Dead Girl but she is involved in every aspect of the band. She writes most of the song lyrics, she designs all of the band’s merch and handles the sales, she is a fashion designer, experienced model, and so much more.
I recently had the pleasure of speaking with Molly Rennick and you can watch our video interview right here. We had a fun chat and talked about how the band came about, the interesting story behind the name of the group, the upcoming debut album, the impact of Covid-19, and much more. So take a quick 25 minutes to watch our interview and see why I feel that Molly and Living Dead Girl are on the verge of breaking out in a big way.
