Exclusive Video Interview With Chatterer Cenobite Nicholas Vince!

Interviewed by Michael Juvinall – Horror Patch

Only the most learned horror scholars will know his name and probably even less will know his face, but almost all of you out there will know him by the two most famous roles he has played. His name is Nicholas Vince – a British actor, writer, director, and filmmaker who has starred in the now-classic films Hellraiser (1987), Hellbound: Hellraiser II (1988), and Nightbreed (1990). In the Hellraiser films, he portrayed the iconic Chatterer Cenobite and in Nightbreed he portrayed Kinski, who you will remember as the Nightbreed character with the crescent moon face and goatee.

Since appearing in those amazing horror films, Vince left the business for a couple of decades but returned in 2010 only to appear in numerous short and feature films within the horror genre. Some of these films include Hollower (2016), Dark Ditties Presents ‘The Offer’ (2017), The Black Gloves (2017), Book Of Monsters (2018), For We Are Many (2019), They’re Outside (2020), and numerous short films, some of which he wrote and directed.

He has written several stories for the Hellraiser and Nightbreed comics for Marvel and in 2014 he began a YouTube interview series which continues to this day, where he interviews filmmakers and actors.

His most recent acting stint is in the new horror film, Paintball Massacre (2020).

I recently had the distinct pleasure of video interviewing Nicholas Vince and we talked about his iconic roles of Chatterer and Kinski, working and being friends with Clive Barker, and his newest film Paintball Massacre.

About Michael Juvinall (6692 Articles)
I am a devoted husband and father. I have been a voracious horror fan since the early age of 5 and metal fan since I was 14. I watch all horror films but my great loves are classic horror films: Universal Monsters, Werewolves, Hammer Horror and an all-around affinity for things that go bump in the night! I'm also a huge fan of extreme metal music.
