Breaking: Black Panther Star Chadwick Boseman Has Died at 43!
Extremely sad news to report as Chadwick Boseman, who starred as Black Panther has died. He passed away today from colon cancer. He had been battling the illness for 4 years. He was 43.
Boseman had reached superstar status within the last few years when he was picked to portray the African American superhero, Black Panther in the blockbuster hit for Marvel. He went on to portray the character three more times in The Avengers films. Black Panther 2 was currently in pre-production.
He had a number of impressive roles including portraying Jackie Robinson in 42 (2013), James Brown in Get On Up (2014), and Thurgood Marshall in Marshall (2017).
The news was announced on his Twitter account tonight.
“It is with immeasurable grief that we confirm the passing of Chadwick Boseman,” the statement read. “It was the honor of his life to bring King T’Challa to life in Black Panther.”
He is survived by his wife and family.
