Leigh Whannell Howling to Direct THE WOLFMAN for Universal as Blumhouse To Produce!

Universal Pictures has put Ryan Gosling’s THE WOLFMAN project on a fast-track to production, according to sources. Leigh Whannell (The Invisible Man) is also keen on directing the project, especially since his good buddy’s Blumhouse will now be producing the film.

According to Deadline, Whannell will hopefully direct Ryan Gosling in the lead with Blumhouse and Gosling on as producers.

Whannell will also write the treatment of the film based on the 1941 Universal classic. Lauren Schuker Blum and Rebecca Angelo will write the script.

Whannell and Blumhouse have worked well together in the past, having collaborated on seven projects including The Invisible Man, Upgrade, The Insidious franchise, and more.
