Elizabeth Banks Set to Star and Direct INVISIBLE WOMAN for Universal!

Universal Pictures announced today they are developing an INVISIBLE WOMAN picture set to star Elizabeth Banks (Charlie’s Angels) and will also be directed by Banks as well.

The current script draft was written by Erin Cressida Wilson (The Girl On The Train).

Banks and Max Handelman will produce through their Brownstone Productions, which did the Pitch Perfect series and most recently Charlie’s Angels, which she also directed and starred.

Apparently, Banks pitched the idea to Universal’s exec’s and they liked what they heard.

Universal has recently finished shooting The Invisible Man, starring Elizabeth Moss and Oliver Jackson-Cohen as the titular character. The film will be released on February 28, 2020.

There’s no word on how much the movie will be based on the original 1940 Universal horror pic of the same name.

About Michael Juvinall (6643 Articles)
I am a devoted husband and father. I have been a voracious horror fan since the early age of 5 and metal fan since I was 14. I watch all horror films but my great loves are classic horror films: Universal Monsters, Werewolves, Hammer Horror and an all-around affinity for things that go bump in the night! I'm also a huge fan of extreme metal music.
