Kaiju Fans Converge on Chicago this Weekend for G-FEST XXVI!
Godzilla and Kaiju fans from around the world will unite in Chicago on July 12-14 for G-FEST XXVI. The convention that covers all things kaiju and Godzilla draw fans from across the globe and feature special celebrity guests, panels, huge dealer room, and much more. Get all the details below.

North American Godzilla fans will be gathering July 12-14, 2019 at the Crowne Plaza Chicago O’Hare in Rosemont, IL for G-FEST XXVI.
The special guests for G-FEST XXVI are Guests of Honor: Akira Takarada, one of the most recognizable actors associated with the Godzilla series, portraying navy diver Hideto Ogata in the original Godzilla in 1954, and has appeared in numerous other Godzilla and Toho science fiction films to date, Director Shusuke Kaneko: best known to kaiju fans for directing the highly regarded Heisei Gamera trilogy in the 1990s and the 25th entry in the Godzilla series: Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack. Actress Peggy Neal: star of the cult-classic fantasy films The Terror Beneath the Sea and The X From Outer Space, Director Yoshikazu Ishii: whose work includes Ultraman Ginga, Gantz, and Daimajin Kanon as well as first assistant director of special effects on Godzilla: Final Wars, Takuji Yamada: award-winning diorama modeler and Special Friend of G-FEST: Sonoe Nakajima: daughter of Haruo Nakajima, the original Godzilla suit actor, will be joining us this year to express her appreciation to her father’s adoring fans. In addition special guest JD Lees, Editor, and Publisher of G-FAN, North America’s longest-running magazine devoted to Godzilla and other Japanese monsters.
G-FEST XXVI will feature panel discussions with the Guests of Honor and Special Guests along with fan movie historians. There will also be a giant dealer’s room, video game contests, video contests, art contest, modeling contest, costume contest & parade, special programming for young fans and more. Movie screenings will be held at the Pickwick Theater in Park Ridge, Illinois. This year includes the return of the “Double-Double Feature” on July 11th and Kaiju Features on July 12th and 13th including Godzilla King of the Monsters and Monster Zero. Weekend admission tickets are $50.00 for adults, $25 for youth (15 and under). Daily admission (at the door) is $30.00 for adults, $20.00 for youths. Children 5 and under are admitted FREE.
