Danai Gurira is Now Leaving THE WALKING DEAD!

I know AMC has plans to keep their zombie drama THE WALKING DEAD around for at least ten more years but with the latest cast member to walk away from the show, it seems as if it has jumped the shark. It’s being reported today that Danai Gurira (Michonne) will be leaving the series after the upcoming 10th Season.

With all the major characters leaving the show, it will look like a totally different series. The Walkers will always be lurking in the background but the cast is becoming unrecognizable these days. For me, the reason I tuned in was for the cast of the first several seasons – Now, who knows.

Sources are saying Gurira will exit the show after Season 10 and she will only appear in a handful of those episodes.

Her departure follows in the footsteps of Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes), Lauren Cohan (Maggie), and Chandler Riggs (Carl).

Losing many of the show’s lead characters is already having a huge effect on the show’s ratings, and I can see the loss of Michonne further adding to the migrating fan base.
