Rod Serling’s NIGHT GALLERY Horror Series To Be Resurrected at Syfy!

Syfy announced today they will be resurrecting the classic Rod Serling horror anthology series NIGHT GALLERY for a modern audience. The show will be spearheaded by Jeff Davis (MTV’s Teen Wolf) and David Janollari (Midnight, Texas).

Night Gallery, which ran on NBC from 1969-73 on NBC, was Serling’s supernatural/horror follow-up to his sci-fi-themed anthology series The Twilight Zone. Serling was the host of Night Gallery, appearing in an art gallery setting to introduce each segment of an episode by unveiling a painting that illustrated the story.

Night Gallery reboot will update the series for the digital age. Featuring dark and twisted morality tales paired with Serling’s specific brand of irony, Night Gallery will explore and exploit every modern nightmare imaginable, mining our fears of the dangers of social media.

The original series was some of Serling’s best work and many of the episodes were really creepy, hopefully the new version will continue with this.

I am a devoted husband and father. I have been a voracious horror fan since the early age of 5. I watch all horror films but my great loves are classic horror films: Universal Monsters, Werewolves, Hammer Horror and an all around affinity for things that go bump in the night!
