Mondo To Release Posters & Pins For PLANET OF THE APES and REVENGE OF THE CREATURE!

This time Mondo has outdone themselves with a couple of outstanding posters for the classic films, Planet of the Apes and Revenge of the Creature. These incredible posters will be available tomorrow at a random time via their website. Check out the cool designs right here below.

Tomorrow we will have a collection of new offerings from on of our favorite artist to work with – Francesco Francavilla!

This year marks the 50th anniversary of one of the most prolific films of the science-fiction genre: PLANET OF THE APES! Directed by Franklin J. Schaffner and based on Pierre Boulle’s 1963 novel, the film is a brilliant and unsettling story about an astronaut who crash lands on an unknown planet in the distant future where he encounters a society run by intelligent and human-like apes. Filled with sharp satire and Jerry Goldsmith’s brilliant score, the film is as impactful today as it was 50 years ago, and we are extremely proud to celebrate this monumental film with a stunning screenprinted poster by Francesco.

One of Francesco’s longstanding Mondo series has been his work on the classic Universal Monsters titles. In 2012, he delivered a total stunner in CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON, and tomorrow we’re pleased to follow that up with the film’s sequel: REVENGE OF THE CREATURE! This one is a long time coming and we are so excited with how it turned out.

In addition to these posters, we will also be going up with two awesome new enamel pins by Francesco for Frankenstein and Creature from the Black Lagoon!
