Will Jason Clarke Be Burying Anyone In The PET SEMATARY Remake?

Actor Jason Clarke (Winchester, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) is negotiating for a starring role in the upcoming Pet Sematary remake. It looks like he is already planning on the role as it’s listed on his IMDB page.

Clarke will play the doctor. Dale Midkiff played the part in the 1989 movie.

The remake is directed by Dennis Widmyer and Kevin Kolsch who previously directed the modest hit horror film, Starry Eyes.

Pet Sematary, first published in 1983, told of a doctor who moves his family out of the big city to the country. There he discovers that they have moved near a pet cemetery that rests on an ancient burial ground, and when his toddler son is killed in an auto accident, he takes the boy’s body to the cemetery, where it is resurrected in demonic form. Jeff Buhler wrote the most recent draft of the adaptation.

More on this as we get it.

About Michael Juvinall (6694 Articles)
I am a devoted husband and father. I have been a voracious horror fan since the early age of 5 and metal fan since I was 14. I watch all horror films but my great loves are classic horror films: Universal Monsters, Werewolves, Hammer Horror and an all-around affinity for things that go bump in the night! I'm also a huge fan of extreme metal music.
