The actor known for his deep baritone voice and great sense of humor played in both film and TV including Inside Amy Schumer (TV Series), The Blacklist (TV Series), The Divide (TV Series), Banshee (TV Series), Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (TV Series), and more.

Having watched Reg in his last TV appearance in the horror series Outcast last year, I remember thinking what a great actor he was and what a wonderful voice he had. I couldn’t get enough of his character in that series. It is so sad that he won’t be around to create more wonderful characters but we can cherish the roles he has given us.

All of us here at Horror Patch offer our sincerest condolences to Reg E. Cathey’s family, friends, and fans. He has left us too soon and I hope his new journey will be his greatest.

I am a devoted husband and father. I have been a voracious horror fan since the early age of 5. I watch all horror films but my great loves are classic horror films: Universal Monsters, Werewolves, Hammer Horror and an all around affinity for things that go bump in the night!
