Three Promoted To Series Regulars for THE WALKING DEAD’S Season 8!

As we have just finished the seventh season of AMC’s mega-hit The Walking Dead and await the approach of season eight, three have been promoted to series regulars on the show. Polly McIntosh who plays “Jadis” the head of the heapsters, as well as Steven Ogg (Simon), and Katelyn Nacon (Enid) have been promoted. Read on for more details.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the cast list count stands at 19 for season 8 including Andrew Lincoln (Rick), Chandler Riggs (Carl), Norman Reedus (Daryl), Melissa McBride (Carol), Lennie James (Morgan), Lauren Cohan (Maggie), Danai Gurira (Michonne), Alanna Masterson (Tara), Josh McDermitt (Eugene), Christian Serratos (Rosita), Seth Gilliam (Father Gabriel), Ross Marquand (Aaron), Austin Amelio (Dwight), Tom Payne (Jesus), Xander Berkeley.

As season 8 looks to have an all-out war between Rick and his gang and Negan’s Saviours, the production was looking to bolster its cast after the loss of former series regulars Steven Yeun’s Glenn, Michael Cudlitz’s Abraham, Spencer (Austin Nichols) and Sonequa Martin-Green’s Sasha.

Ogg plays Negan’s right-hand man Simon, the not-so-dastardly No. 2 of the Saviors; McIntosh’s Jadis is the head of the Heapsters, the group that double-crossed Rick and ultimately is loyal to Negan; and Nacon is Enid, a teenager who helps fill the void of Sophia.

Look for The Walking Dead to return this October.

I am a devoted husband and father. I have been a voracious horror fan since the early age of 5 and metal fan since I was 14. I watch all horror films but my great loves are classic horror films: Universal Monsters, Werewolves, Hammer Horror and an all-around affinity for things that go bump in the night! I'm also a huge fan of extreme metal music.
